Goddess Lakshmi the consort and dynamic energy of Lord Vishnu is worshipped by the Hindus as the goddess of wealth, fortune, luxury and prosperity. Whenever Lord Vishnu descended on earth as avatar, Goddess Lakshmi accompanied him as his consort. The eight prominent manifestations of Goddess Lakshmi are known as  Adi Lakshmi, Dhana Lakshmi, Dhanya Lakshmi, Gaja Lakshmi, Santana Lakshmi, Veera Lakshmi, Vidya Lakshmi, Vijya Lakshmi symbolizes Asht Lakshmi. She has calm soothing expressions, always sen with a lotus in her hand which signify her as the symbol of beauty. Her four hands represents the four goals of human life considered important: Dharma (righteousness and duty), Kama (worldly desires), Artha (wealth and prosperity) and Moksha (salvation). Her palms are always open which defines one to have patience and the other palm is seen pouring coins which defines that she is the giver of wealth and prosperity. Many people worship Lakshmiji especially on Diwali, the festival of light. People clean their house offices also decorate them. This way they celebrate this Goddess of fortune, attempting to secure her favors for the years to come. Goddess Lakshmi is a goddess who brings all good things to light and to life. To evoke her energy of good fortune, countless hymns, prayers, shlokas and mantras are dedicated and recited during Pooja. By placing Lakshmiji in our homes and offices We bring wealth and prosperity altogether.

In the puranas, we learn of Goddess Lakshmi’s elder sister, Jyestha- also known as Alakshmi, who always accompanies her. She is the Goddess of strife. She is the reason why the prosperity of Goddess Lakshmi is never accompanied by peace. The only way to get peace into the household is to discover and invoke either Lord Shiva or Lord Vishnu. When she is accompanied by Lord Shiva or Lord Vishnu then Goddess Alakshmi does not accompany her and so wealth is not accompanied by quarrels or disputes.

Why Brass?

Brass has natural vibration which aligns well with the universe. It has a conscious energy which helps attract positive and healing vibes.
